Teila Gray
Secretary/Clerk
Teila Gray is a compassionate mental health clinician, school social worker, and dedicated advocate committed to empowering children, adolescents, adults, and families. A proud native of Boston, Massachusetts, she is deeply committed to serving the communities that helped shape who she is today. She holds a master's degree in Mental Health Counseling and School Adjustment Counseling. Prior to that, she earned degrees in Psychology and Early Childhood Education. Before entering the mental health field, Teila spent many years working with young children, developing a strong foundation in child development, social-emotional learning, and family engagement.
Her professional journey has included serving as a Family Partner and Intensive Care Coordinator at a community service agency, where she collaborated closely with families navigating complex behavioral, emotional, and mental health challenges. These experiences strengthened her belief that meaningful relationships, trust, and genuine connection are at the heart of lasting change.
In addition to her professional experience, Teila is the proud mother of three teenagers, a role that has profoundly influenced both her personal perspective and professional practice. Motherhood has given her firsthand insight into the joys and challenges of parenting, adolescent development, communication, and navigating today's ever-changing world. It has deepened her empathy and strengthened her commitment to helping families build healthy relationships, foster resilience, and support the emotional well-being of their children.
Known for her ability to build authentic connections with people from all walks of life, Teila approaches her work with empathy, cultural humility, and a deep commitment to serving her community. She believes every individual deserves to feel seen, heard, and supported, and she is passionate about helping others recognize their strengths, build resilience, and create healthier futures.
One of Teila's long-term professional goals is to develop mentorship opportunities and wellness retreats that support young girls and teens as they transition into adulthood. She is passionate about creating safe, empowering spaces where young women can prioritize their mental health, build confidence, develop life skills, and form meaningful connections that encourage lifelong growth, leadership, healing, and self-discovery.
Outside of her professional work, Teila is a creative entrepreneur who owns a small business specializing in custom woodwork and personalized designs. She enjoys expressing herself through arts and crafts, values quality time with family and friends, and has a genuine
appreciation for learning about different cultures. An avid traveler, one of her personal aspirations is to live abroad and intentionally explore the world, embracing new perspectives and experiences that continue to shape both her personal life and professional practice.
Teila also believes in the importance of giving back. She enjoys volunteering her time within the community and supporting individuals and families in need whenever she can. Whether through organized service opportunities or simply showing up for those around her, she believes that even small acts of kindness can create meaningful and lasting change.
Above all, Teila believes it is never too late to start over, pursue your goals, or believe in yourself, regardless of your circumstances. She understands that adversity looks different for everyone, but she believes our challenges do not define us—they can become the foundation for growth, resilience, and purpose. Through both her personal experiences and professional work, she strives to inspire others to embrace their journey, recognize their strengths, and move forward with hope, courage, and confidence.
At the heart of everything Teila does is a desire to serve others, foster meaningful connections, and make a lasting, positive impact within the communities she serves.
Teila believes that every challenge carries the potential for growth. By fostering meaningful relationships built on trust, compassion, and respect, she helps individuals recognize their strengths, embrace their resilience, and move forward with hope, confidence, and purpose.
“Our struggles may shape our story, but they never define our future.”
